The Central Government
temporarily banned 59 Chinese apps, including Tiktok, in June. The
government had termed these apps as a threat to Indian integrity and security.
The Central Government
had asked these 59 Chinese apps to file a reply in the matter. It was
hoped that if the government is satisfied with the response to the Chinese
app, the ban on the app could be lifted.
But the answers
provided to the Central Government by the Chinese app have not
come to fulfillment. In such a situation, the path of return of Chinese apps
has been closed forever.
The government did
not receive a satisfactory response from Chinese apps, including Tiktok.
According to a report
by the Ministry of Electronics and Information has issued a notification
banning 58 Chinese apps, including Tiktok and WeChat, permanently.
According to the report, the Central Government had sought an answer from the Chinese
apps regarding the lifting of the ban on the apps and why the ban on those
apps should be lifted.
But no satisfactory answer has been received from the Chinese app.
