The Ministry has issued instructions to all popular social media sites to remove all misinformation and rumors related to the virus that has taken the form of an epidemic.

The ministry has ordered the removal of these rumors with immediate effect from popular social media platforms. On March 20, the IT ministry India issued a directive to popular social media sites not to post any misinformation related to COVID-19.

The ministry had said that due to this, an atmosphere of fear may arise in the common people. Some people are seeking to exploit the current situation for their own benefit, which needs to be stopped now.

According to the PTI report, Cyber ​​Law and E-Security Group Co-ordinator Rakesh Maheshwari, on behalf of the IT ministry India, said in the advisory, "The middlemen are requested to prioritize such false content hosted on their platform.

Take immediate action to deactivate or delete. This advisory also states that coronavirus is a global problem and the World Health Organization has called it a Global Health Emergency.

According to media reports, at this time much incorrect information related to coronavirus is available on all popular social media sites. Because of which an atmosphere of fear is being created among the people.

The ministry said in it's advisory that users should be warned through campaigns on popular social media platforms that no misinformation and fake news related to Coronavirus will be uploaded.

For this, instructions from IT Ministry India have been issued to all popular social media in India to check the veracity of all the information related to the Coronavirus on the platform.

Currently more than 2.5 lakh people worldwide are affected by this epidemic. More than 300 people in India are affected by this epidemic, in which 6 people have died.

A total of more than 13,000 people around the world have died due to this dangerous virus. Following the guidance of the IT Ministry India, all the rumors will soon be removed from all popular social media sites.
