According to the report, the data leaked was a part of the conversation of Microsoft's customer support. This conversation was related to the support between Microsoft and the customer. The report states that this data is stored in the server without any security. This is the major negligence of Microsoft. Any user can access it easily from their browser.

In the report of Security Team Bob Diachenko it has been claimed that the data is leaked from 2005 to 2019. This is a customer log. For this, the negligence of Microsoft has apologized to its users. It also said that such omissions will not happen in the future. The company has also assured this. At the same time, the company has also told that the data which was under threat has been secured on 31 December 2019.

Microsoft's Cyberspace Solution Group has released a statement. They said that there is no misuse of personal data of Microsoft users. Actually, the company had put an incorrect security code on 5 December 2019 by Microsoft's Network Security Group. Microsoft support team has opened this data on the server. This is not the first time such negligence of Microsoft case has come up.
