Budget Highlights: Finance Minister Srimati Nirmala Sitharaman has presented the General Budget 2021 of the Modi government's third term in Parliament.
She has made many important announcements in the budget.

increased to 2.5 percent. It

Finance Minister Srimati Nirmala Sitharaman said,” Domestic electronic
manufacturing has grown rapidly. For greater domestic value addition we're
withdrawing a few exemptions on part of chargers & sub-parts of mobiles.
Further some parts of mobiles will move from nil rate to a moderate 2.5%.”
The most impact of the General Budget 2021 will be
on those smartphone makers whose devices are not being manufactured in India.
However, domestic tech companies will benefit the most
from this. Apart from this, India will also export mobile and its parts to
other countries.
Let us know that a recent Bloomberg report revealed that
Taiwanese tech company Pegatron Corporation has partnered with Tata to create
electronics, mobile, and its parts.
For this, an investment of 85 thousand crores was made
between the two companies. The report further said that in the first phase,
Tata invested Rs 5,767 crore to make mobile parts and Pegatron invested 80
thousand 500 crores to make mobile phones.
