A security breach has been recorded in the TikTok similar
app Chingari. Due to this security breach, five million account holders
are being claimed to be accessed by hackers.
The security breach of this app, which was launched as a TikTok
similar app recently has been found out by Girish Kumar of cybersecurity
firm Encode.
He has revealed this drawback of the TikTok similar
app Chingari through a Youtube video. In which it has been demonstrated how
hackers can make the information about the account holders of this app
public.
Girish Kumar said that hackers would not need to hack the
user's account. They can upload any video or content in exchange for users
through the drawback of this app.
That is, hackers can get full access to the account due
to the drawback of this TikTok similar Indian app. Hackers can go to the
settings of the account holders and make full changes and get full
access to their accounts.
In such a situation, hackers are likely to reach the personal
information of millions of users. Last month, several TikTok similar Indian apps
have been launched after the Indian government banned 59 apps, including
TikTok.
The TikTok similar Indian app Chingari was
launched even before TikTok was banned, but the number of users of this app has
increased exponentially since TikTok was banned.
Within two weeks of this app, 19 million downloads were
recorded. Another TikTok similar app, Mitron launched, also recorded
security breaches in May. In this also, hackers used to get access to users'
accounts without any problems.
