TikTok ban in India: Indian short video making apps have been benefited
from the government of India banning TikTok on 29 June. More than 1
million downloads have been done and made a new record within just four days of
the launch of ShareChat's short video making application Moj.
This Indian short video making app has been
downloaded over 10 lakh times on Google Play Store. At the same time,
more than 50 thousand downloads were received within 48 hours of the launch of
the short video making application.
The Government of India had recently issued an order to
ban 59 apps including TikTok under Section 69A of the Information
Technology Act. Most of these apps were from Chinese Origin.
The effect of the TikTok ban in India is that many
Indian short video apps like Roposo, Bolo Indya, Chingari, Mitron, and
Moj has gained tremendous benefits.
The number of downloads and users of these short video

app has also been banned along with TikTok.
Users of both apps are now shifting to Indian short
