Xiaomi India has put up an Out of Stock notice and went into lockdown mode.
Putting up an Out of
Stock notice Xiaomi India has gone into lockdown mode for 21 days. Chinese
smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has taken several steps in view of the situation
and lockdown of Coronavirus in India.
Xiaomi has taken three important steps under the lockdown situation in India. In one hand Xiaomi has
claimed to donate the N95 mask and protective suits. On the other hand, the
company has shut down all its Mi Homes in India for sale.
At the same time, now
all the smartphones have been Out of Stock in the Mi Super Sale running on the
company's website. The situation is expected to remain until a new government
directive is issued.
Three important steps the company has taken to support India in this situation.
(1) All smartphones out of stock in Mi Super Sale:
Mi Super Sale started
on 23 March and was to run till 26 March. The company organized the Mi Super
Sale on its official website. During this time many smartphones of Redmi were
made available for purchase at a very low price.
But all the
smartphones available in Mi Super Sale on mi.com are showing out of stock. In
such a situation, it can be assumed that as long as there is a lockdown in the
country, and then this service will be closed.
(2) Mi Homes in India Temporarily shut down:
Keeping in mind the lockdown mode and safety of the people, Xiaomi has temporarily shut down its Mi Homes in
India. This information has been tweeted by the company's Global Vice President
Manu Kumar Jain from his official Twitter account. The post on Twitter said
that the company has now discontinued the home delivery service.
(3) Xiaomi will donate N95 masks and protective suits:
Manu Kumar Jain had
tweeted that in this case, he will donate N95 masks and protective suits in
Delhi, Punjab, and Karnataka. These suits will be given to hospital doctors like
AIIMS.
The company is also
taking care of the safety of its staff. Telling them to wear masks all times and
keep hands clean time and again. By the way, another mobile manufacturing
company Vivo has also talked about making masks instead of smartphones and
donate them to healthcare across the country. But they have not taken any decision to go into lockdown mode and their products out of stock.
