The Department of Telecommunications has given spectrum
for 6 months to telecom companies Airtel, Reliance Jio, and Vodafone Idea
operating in the country for the trial of 5G network in India.
DoT has asked telecom companies in India to test 5G
technology in India in rural areas as well. A DOT official has given
this information. He informed that MTNL is working closely with C-Dot for the 5G
trial in Delhi. MTNL will also test 5G near Najafgarh. At present, MTNL has not
deposited the fee for the 5G spectrum trial.
As per the given information, telecom companies in
India operators have been allocated 700 MHz bands, 3.3-3.6 GHz bands,
besides 24.25-28.5 GHz bands in different parts of the country.
After the allocation of Spectrum, it is expected that the
test for 5G technology in India will be conducted at various locations
including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Gujarat, and Hyderabad.
However, in the Permission Letter, it has been clearly
instructed by the government that the telecom operators will have to do this
testing of 5G technology in India in urban as well as rural and
semi-urban areas so that 5G technology can be availed in the entire country.
It should not be limited to urban areas only. The most
important thing in this can be said that Chinese companies have been kept away
from this test by DoT and 5G testing has been given to MTNL besides Reliance
Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea.
These telecom companies in India have been allowed
by DoT to test the 5G technology service of Ericsson, Nokia, Samsung,
and C-Dot. At the same time, the most important thing about this trial is that
Reliance Jio Infocomm will use its Indian technology for 5G testing.
The government expects that 5G network in India will
get ten times better download speed and three times better spectrum efficiency
than 4G. The trial will focus on telemedicine, Tele-education, and drone-based
agriculture monitoring services so that they can be improved after the 5G network
in India.
Before the 5G network begins, Bollywood actress
Juhi Chawla has filed a petition against it in the Delhi High Court. In her petition, Juhi Chawla says that the radiation of 5G networks in India harms
citizens, animals, flora, and creatures.
Hearing the matter, Justice C Hari Shankar has sent this
petition to another bench for hearing on June 2. Let us tell you that Juhi
Chawla has been working for a long time to make people aware of the harmful
radiation emitted from the towers of telecom companies in India.
In his petition, Juhi Chawla has said that before the
implementation of 5G technology in India, all the research related to it
should be closely watched.
If the telecommunications industry's plan for a 5G
network in India is successful, then there will be no people, animals,
insects, plants, and animals on Earth who will be affected by the level of RF
radiation emanating from these towers 24 hours a day and 365 days a year which
is 10 to 100 times more than the existing radiation.
