Mobile Phone Price in India is going tomorrow. Although 'April Fool' is celebrated on the
day of April 1, but the coming April 1 is to bring a big change in the lives of
common people.
If you are thinking about buying a smartphone or
accessories, then tell that everything is going to be expensive now. That is,
you have to pay a higher price for the smartphone than the current price.
It was announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman
during the budget presented in February 2021. Let's know why it will be
expensive to buy smartphones and gadgets now?
Import duty will increase from April 1
Finance Minister Sitharaman had announced in the General The budget presented in February that 2.5% import duty would be increased on
electronics products.
This includes mobile ports, mobile chargers, adapters,
batteries, and headphones, etc. Currently, the import duty is 7.5% percent but
from April 1 it will increase to 10%. After which you will have to pay a higher
price to buy smartphones and other gadgets.
Mobile phones will be expensive
With the increase in import duty from April 1, mobiles
will also become expensive. However, the price of cheap and budget range
mobiles will be more visible.
Their price can vary by at least 100 rupees. That is,
buying a cheap smartphone will not have much impact on the pocket of users.
High-end smartphone price will increase
After the increase in import duty, there can be more differences in the price of premium range smartphones. Because the import duty on PCBA used in connector and camera setup is now reduced to 15%.
After which the price of the smartphone is bound to
increase. That is, from April 1, users will have to spend more money to buy
expensive and premium smartphones. No doubt the increase in Mobile Phone Price in India will make an impression on the mobile market in
near future.
