Tata has launched its
premium hatchback Altroz in the Indian market. Its petrol variant has an
initial ex-showroom price of Rs 5.29 lakh and the diesel variant has an initial
ex-showroom price of Rs 6.99 lakh.
Altroz has an engine with BS6 Norms and all the
necessary safety features. In the Indian market, it can compete with Maruti
Baleno, Toyota Glenza, Hyundai i20, and Honda Jazz.
Tata Altroz 5-star safety rating found
This Tata Altroz car is rated 5
star for safety by Global NCAP. It is also first India Made hatchback to
get a 5-star rating in the Safer Car Phone India Crash Test.
In the test, it has
been rated 5 stars for adult safety and 3 stars for child safety. Earlier, Tata
Nexon received a 5-star rating, which is also the first car in the country to
get such a rating.
Tata Altroz Engine power
Tata Altroz has a
1.2-liter, three-cylinder petrol engine with BS6 Norms. It generates a power of
6000 rpm at 85 bhp and peak torque of 3300 rpm at 113 Nm. On the other hand,
the diesel variant has a 1.5-liter turbo intercooler, a four-cylinder engine.
Tata Altroz generates a power of 4000 rpm at 89 bhp and peak torque of 1250-3000 rpm at 200
Nm. Both engines are equipped with 5-speed manual gear.
