Harley-Davidson is
scheduled to start production of its smallest 338cc cruiser motorcycle from
June 2020, according to a leaked document. Earlier in 2019, Harley-Davidson had
tied hands with Chinese motorcycle company Chienzang, owner of the Benelli brand
to make less powerful Harley-Davidson motorcycles especially for the Indian and
Asian markets. This document is told during a presentation by Benelli, which is
in the midst of the company's 2020 plan, including the company's launch. The
most important information revealed in this information is the 338cc
Harley-Davidson motorcycle launched in June 2020.
Harley-Davidson has
not yet shown any image of this motorcycle, but confirmation of its design has
been revealed. The new Harley-Davidson motorcycle will be powered by a 338cc
engine, but unlike the company where it is known for its V-twin engine, these
less powerful engines are likely to be given parallel-twin engines. This engine
will probably be based on the Benelli 302S. Benelli 302 has a 300cc parallel-twin engine, which has the ability to generate 38 bhp power and 26.5 Nm peak
torque.
The plan for the new
338cc motorcycle was made when the US motorcycle company decided to introduce a
new motorcycle series in the next few years to increase the number of
customers. It is estimated that Harley-Davidson will first launch this
motorcycle in China and later it will be launched in India along with South
East Asia. At the moment it is not confirmed when Harley-Davidson will launch its
smallest motorcycle, but we do not think it will be launched in India by the
end of this year or early 2021.
