iPhone SE 3 generation is coming next year, probably the cheapest in the world.

Apple plans to release iPhone SE 3 generation in the first quarter of 2022, according to Taiwanese research firm Trendforce. If this deadline proves correct, we can expect the device to be released by the end of March.

As previously rumored, TrendForce said that the new iPhone SE 3 will be a mid-range smartphone with additional support for 5G. That means it can be called the cheapest 5G iPhone in the world.

In terms of product development, Apple plans to release four models of its iPhone SE 3 generation in 1Q22 and 2H22 under a new series.

The iPhone SE 3 generation is expected to be a key tool in helping Apple establish its presence in the market for mid-range 5G smartphones. By 2022, its production is projected to reach 25-30 million units.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has previously claimed that the new iPhone SE 3 will have a design similar to the current model, based on the iPhone 8 with a 4.7-inch display, Touch ID home button, and thick bezel. Kuo says the device's major upgrades will include 5G support and a faster processor - the so-called A15 chip.

There are also rumors that Apple is working on a larger version of the iPhone SE 3, but that device is not expected to be released in 2023 or earlier.

The original iPhone SE was released in March 2016 and was discontinued in September 2018. The second-generation iPhone SE was launched in April 2020 and goes on sale, at $ 399 (Rs 29,928) for 64GB storage and $ 449 (Rs 33,679) for 128GB storage.
