The central government has decided to ban 59 top popular Chinese apps in India, including TikTok, CamScanner. According to the report of ANI, the Government of India has issued this public order to all these famous Chinese apps in India keeping in mind the unity, defense and security of the states.

Banned Chinese apps include TikTok short video making app, as well as many top Chinese apps in India including DU Recorder, Vigo Video, Likee, Helo.

This is a major decision of the Central Government amidst the escalating situation on the border between India and China for the last few days.

TikTok has millions of users in India. Not only TikTok, but the Zoom video calling app has also been banned in India. There was a demand to ban these top Chinese apps in India many times in the past.

Reports of users' data being stolen through famous Chinese apps in India were surfacing many times. The government has decided to completely ban these 59 famous Chinese apps in India to protect users' data privacy.
