Government has launched the Coronavirus (COVID-19) tracker app Aarogya
Setu App on 2 April. Within a few days of the launch of the app, this app
has been downloaded more than 10 million times. Here is the step by step guide on how to download and use it freely.
The special feature
of this app is that with its help you can track whether you have interacted
with anyone using Bluetooth and location tracker. Through the tracking feature
used in it, it keeps alerting users from time to time.
This app has been
launched by the Indian government for both iOS and Android users.

The Aarogya Setu
app is available for free on both platforms. This app also gives you tips
on how to avoid Coronavirus, in addition to social distancing; it also
provides information about frequent hand washing and the use of masks.
The app is available
in Hindi and English as well as regional languages like Gujarati and
Marathi. You have to enable your Bluetooth and location data in the privacy settings
of this Coronavirus app. This app of the Indian Government does not
disclose your name and mobile number to anyone.
How to download the
Aarogya Setu app and use this.
First of all, download
the Aarogya Setu app and install iOS and Android users from
Google Play Store or iOS App Store respectively. While installing, you will get
a choice of 11 different Indian languages along with Hindi and English. You can
install this app in the language you prefer.
Then go to the app information page and tap on ‘Register Now’. It will ask you for permission for
GPS and Bluetooth. You proceed by granting permission. On the next page, you
will get the option to enter your mobile number.
After entering the
mobile number you will have OTP. There is an optional form, which asks your
name, age, occupation and travel history during the last 30 days. By entering it,
you can proceed.
As you proceed, it
will enter your risk level through green or yellow color. If you are safe then
it will show in green. If the yellow color shows, you are at risk and you will
have to contact the helpline.
There is a special
feature on this Aarogya Setu app is ‘Self Assessment Test’. You can use
it by clicking on the option, a chat window will open. Some important questions
related to your health and symptoms will ask here. You will find an option to find
out nearest Coronavirus (KOVID-19) Health centers and helpline numbers
here according to your given location.
